Are you an enthusiastic student high interested in the world of engineering and sustainable energy? On our Case Day you will transform yourself for one day into a consultant working in a multidisciplinary team on a current assignment for Gasunie. Topic of the day will be: energy imbalance and grid congestion.

On Case Day (Thursday, November 28, 2024), we will take you into the extraordinary world of engineering and sustainable energy. We will inspire you through practice and provide a behind-the-scenes look at one of Gasunie’s most notable projects. Together, we will visit the Zuidwending project, where Energystock is located. This platform focuses on storing and managing energy, which is especially important for optimizing energy supply, making energy networks more sustainable, and integrating renewable energy resources. We will conclude the day with a social gathering in the city.

Where? We will start at Gasunie’s office (Concourslaan 17, Groningen)
Timetable? from 08h30 until 19h30.
For who? 60 students Chemical Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering.
Good to know: The language of this event is English. Proficiency in the Dutch language, at least B1 level, is a requirement at Sweco.

Gasunie x Sweco
Sweco and Gasunie will tackle one of the biggest challenges of the energy transition over the next ten years: the construction of infrastructure for sustainable gases. Sweco will work on facilitating the growing demand for transport options for hydrogen, CO2, green gas, and heat. The contract also allows for innovative projects related to the energy transition.
